The DFS4 A EV residual current circuit-breaker (RCCB) was specially developed for use in charging points and wall boxes for charging electric vehicles (EV). It is used where an upstream fault current protection device of the charging station or the wall box is unknown or where an AC, A or F type RCD is used. The task of the DFS 4 EV is to provide the necessary protection against dangerous body fault currents at each individual charging socket. At the same time, it also protects an upstream residual current protective device against the risk of tripping failure in the event of DC residual currents, e.g. caused by charging technology.
Complete, auxiliary voltage independent residual current circuit breaker
Sensitive for residual currents of type A and F (mixing frequency sensitive)
Active additional function 1) : Tripping with smooth DC fault currents of max. 6 mA
Compliance with switch-off times according to VDE 0100-410
Maintenance of the protective function of upstream RCDs (e.g. in the TT system)
safe disconnection
Personal and fire protection according to VDE 0100-530 even at high frequencies
two or four poles in 4-TE housing
four-pole version with rated current up to 40 A
especially for protection during charging of electric vehicles
no further components for residual current protection required per charging socket.
Warranty* The statutory warranty period applies to professionally installed, unmodified devices from the time of purchase by the end user. The warranty does not cover damage in transit or damage caused by short circuits, overloads, or use contrary to the intended purpose. In the event of manufacturing or material defects which are detected within the warranty period, our factory shall repair or replace the defective parts free of charge. The warranty claim expires if the device has been opened without authorization.
