Renewable Energy - Frequently asked questions

Energy Storage

The Energy Storage System is an intelligent, state-of-the-art storage system for solar or biogas electricity, tailored to the private household or "small" business. The operator of a photovoltaic system can use it to effortlessly store the solar power he generates himself, so that he can then consume it himself at any time of the day.

You significantly increase your own consumption! Self-consumption is the own consumption of the self-produced solar power. Already today, this mode of operation of a Solar-PV System is, from an economic point of view alone, clearly superior to the so far widespread feed-in of electricity. And this economic advantage grows with every electricity price increase of your energy supplier.

An intelligent solar power plant is a complete and high quality solar-PV power plant, which is coupled with the energy storage system. Thereby it is achieved that self-produced solar power can be consumed not only when the sun shines, but also when it is needed or consumed. Thus, for example, own solar power can also be consumed at night! The solar power plant is offered as a complete system including all services and turnkey by us on request. You can contact us on +49 (0) 52 51 - 142 09 23 or email us at info@esl-emobility.com

The more of your own electricity consumption you can cover with your self-generated solar power, the more independent you become from your electricity supplier. And the less you have to care about the annual price increase or where the electricity of your supplier comes from.

With the significant increase in self-consumption provided by your energy storage system, you will always know exactly where the electricity you generate yourself comes from. Namely from your own roof from the sun's eco-energy. Thus, you do not consume limited fossil raw materials, do not emit any CO2, do not generate long-term radioactive waste. Furthermore, you stabilize the capacity of the power grid. In short: You make your own personal contribution to the energy transition!

For all homeowners who want to significantly increase the share of self-generated solar power in their own electricity consumption. And this even if no one is at home during the day when the sun is shining. Whether for economic reasons, the need for maximum independence from electricity suppliers and their pricing strategies, or the desire to preserve our planet for our children.

No, absolutely not. The exclusively used, modern lithium batteries have been developed for the particularly demanding mobile sector. They have been positively tested in their behaviour even in crash and fire. Since neither lead nor acids are used, no gases can escape from the system either. Overcharging or undercharging of each individual cell is also ruled out by the battery management system.

According to the manufacturer, the batteries are designed for a service life of up to 20 years. This is achieved by the control system being very careful with the battery, i.e. by not reaching the limits of performance and capacity. For example, only approx. 10% of the maximum possible current is consumed or released when the battery is charged and discharged. In addition, only a maximum of approx. 70% of the battery's storage capacity is charged and used.

Of course, defects (e.g. due to manufacturing or material defects) can also occur with batteries. Therefore, every customer receives the long-term product and performance guarantees of the manufacturers on the useful capacity of his storage. After expiration of this warranty, it is possible to purchase individual cells for replacement purposes from ESL E-MOBILITY instead of the entire battery system. You can contact us on +49 (0) 52 51 - 142 09 23 or E-Mail an info@esl-emobility.com

To determine the optimal size with a reasonable cost/benefit ratio, both the annual electricity consumption and your individual times of day and quantities of electricity consumption are decisive. Our expert advisors will be happy to assist you in selecting the right energy storage for you. Call us on +49 (0) 52 51 - 142 09 23

As soon as the power from the energy supplier fails, the energy storage takes over the supply of your house. Depending on the state of charge of the battery, the capacity of the storage unit and the consumer devices that are switched on, the energy storage unit supplies power.

Balcony Power Plant

A balcony power plant or mini solar power system is the simple and inexpensive introduction to solar technology and serves to reduce electricity costs in every household. The mini solar power system is suitable for any household, whether it is a homeowner or a tenant! The principle for balcony power plants is the "Plug, Play & Save" concept.

In such plug-and-play solar systems, usually up to 2 photovoltaic (PV) modules are connected directly to an inverter. This does not have to be done by an electrician. The familiar Schuko plug is often used as a simple transfer plug. The electricity is then fed from the inverter into the house grid via the nearest socket. This reduces the electricity costs for the electrical base load and saves part of the household electricity demand.

All balcony power plants need be registered with the Federal Network Agency in Germany. This can be done free of charge; the process can take up to 30 minutes. You will need to know the name of your grid operator. Please check the registration requirements in the respective countries.
Register at:

  • Reduction of electricity costs: save up to approx. 290 kWh/year with a balcony module (at 265 Wp)
  • Easy installation - Plug & Save: also suitable for ordinary people. No electrician required (simply plug and play).
  • Modular: Expandable at any time. Small space requirement as the Micro-inverter is located directly on the Solar-PV Module.

For a 600 Wp system with 2 modules and an average sunshine duration of 1,600 hours in Germany, depending on the position of the sun, the system has an annual output of over 500 KW, with an average output of 250 W per hour. This is about 150 € per year, assuming an electricity price of 30 cents per kWh for the basic supply. The higher the electricity price, the greater the savings. The electricity generated in the mini PV system costs you only about 5 cents per kWh.

You can always buy more modules (solar modules + micro inverter). Of course, there is also the option to buy individual packages of solar modules / micro inverter and run them together. Of course, you can also install 10, 20 or more modules on your roof or facade and feed them into the general power grid or connect an energy storage system. However, you should hire an electrician for this, and depending on the intended use, there are also legal requirements to be observed (e.g. for the planned feed-in to the general grid). We have a large partner network of electricians and will be happy to put you in touch with them. Talk to our experts about your requirements at +49 (0) 52 51 - 142 09 23 or by e-mail to info@esl-emobility.com

Theoretically yes, e.g. on garage roofs or carports, but the relevant building regulations and building standards must be observed.
